Here’s how we’ll help your child develop their English skills:

  • Tailored Lessons: Every lesson is personalized to match your child’s interests and current abilities. From animals to games or favourite hobbies, I incorporate what they love to ensure they’re excited to learn
  • Focus on Speaking: We prioritize speaking practice in every session, giving your child the opportunity to use English confidently
  • Interactive Learning: I use educational games, engaging stories, and plenty of visuals to keep lessons fun and help your child associate words with pictures. This interactive approach makes learning new vocabulary and grammar easier and more enjoyable
  • Learning Resources: To support your child outside of class, you’ll receive access to a personalized Google Drive folder. It will contain learning materials and optional homework assignments to reinforce what was covered in class
This is an example of a lesson that would be done with a very young learner who is just starting to learn about daily routines in English. The student would learn new words while putting them to use in simple sentences.

Where do classes take place?

All classes are conducted online via Zoom, allowing your child to learn from the comfort of your home. These personalized sessions ensure focused attention and an enjoyable learning environment.

FAQ

I’ve found that many students, especially older children, prefer to be in the lesson alone with the teacher. For the first class, some parents like to introduce themselves, which is always welcome but not necessary.

Of course, if your child is shy or if you feel more comfortable attending the class, you are more than welcome to sit in. However, I often find that students warm up a little faster and engage more when their parent isn’t present.

We use a variety of interactive materials such as educational games, fun stories, and visuals. These tools help your child connect words with pictures and make learning enjoyable. Lessons are tailored to your child’s interests, so if they, for example, love animals, video games, or sports, we’ll incorporate those themes into the activities.

No worries! These lessons are customized for your child’s level, whether they are just starting or have some basic knowledge of English. I make sure that the lessons are appropriate and fun for their age and skill level.

I aim to be very flexible and understanding with rescheduling.

Rescheduling Policy

  • Students may reschedule a class up to 2 hours before the scheduled time without any issues.
  • Rescheduling requests made less than 2 hours before the class will not be accommodated, and the session will be marked as missed.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class are non-refundable.
  • For cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance, students may request a refund, minus any applicable PayPal transaction fees for processing the return.

No-Show Policy

  • If a student does not attend a class without prior notification, the class will be considered a “no-show”, and no refund or rescheduling options will be provided.
  • If the student informs the teacher after the class has started that they will not attend, it is also considered a “no-show.”
  • The teacher will wait 10 minutes for the student to join the Zoom call. If the student has not joined after 10 minutes, the class will be marked as a “no-show.”
  • If you anticipate being late, please inform the teacher in advance so they can wait for you.

Teacher Rescheduling Policy

  • In the event that the teacher needs to reschedule a class, the student will be notified as soon as possible.
  • The teacher will work with the student to find a suitable alternative time.
