Welcome to my EAL portfolio! Here, I showcase assignments that highlight my teaching experience and education, including work from the Cambridge CELTA course and lesson plans for 1-on-1 and group classes. These examples demonstrate my ability to create engaging, student-focused lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
Focus on the Learner
During my CELTA Cambridge course, I completed a “Focus on the Learner” assignment, which involved a deep dive into assessing a student’s needs, motivations, and learning styles.
This assignment sharpened my ability to identify individual strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring lessons are both personalized and effective.
These skills guide me as I support learners in achieving their goals.
Writing Lesson Plan
For my CELTA course, I created several lesson plans, including this writing lesson for A2/B1 learners to design a brochure about their city, focusing on the imperative mood and positive adjectives.
My tutor’s feedback highlighted the clear modelling, systematic language analysis, and opportunities for collaboration and fluency among the students I taught. This lesson reflects my approach to creating structured plans that cater to learners’ needs.
